Gold Mountain Trail in San Bernardino National Forest is a Fun and Challenging Trail. if done from South to North, (Up Hill), I would rate it as a 2+ to 3- difficulty with steep climbs and lots of sharp, good sized rocks as obstacles. There is one big step that often requires careful spotting and lockers or limited slip in the uphill direction. The trail is easier in the north to south direction. 33″ (35″ for 4 dr.) minimum tires strongly recommended.
