Rowher trail is located about 13 miles North East of Santa Clarita, CA. It is a point to point which can be run in either direction and has ample room to allow opposite direction traffic to pass in most places. Be aware that there are several ATV/Cycle tracks that cross the trail and ATV/Cycles are often on the trail at other points especially on weekends. Some over-nighting is allowed in the OHV park only, contact Angeles Forest for details
This trail is 1+ to 2 on the JustRuns trail ratings and is suitable for less experienced drivers (Never off-road alone). The trail can be dramatically altered after heavy rains but many bypasses available mean it is usually passable at the 2 rating. Trail doesn’t offer much in obstructions, but has steep climbs and descents on sand and slippery sand over shale. Good practice.
Trail is open year ’round unless snow is present (rare).
Southbound trailhead is unmarked on the south side of Bouquet canyon road, the google maps link below is the location

Northbound trailhead is in the Rowher Flat OHV area. Entrance to the OHV area is from Sierra Hwy about 4 miles north of Vasquez Canyon road, is marked with a Forest service brown sign on the west side of the road. Trail head is found toward the back of the OHV area near staging area three at the location shown in the link below.
