Please arrive in time to top off gas, air down and prepare your vehicle for the trail.

From the meeting spot we will head east to the Mica Gem Underpass under I-8 then go down the old horse rider trail to the location of an old sheep ranch along side of Interstate 8.  There is a spring there where we occasionally see bighorn sheep.  We'll have lunch there then head up the mountain via the old stage coach road/trail  and back to Mica Gem underpass.

Crossing under Hwy 8 we will go to the trail that leads toward the Smuggler's Cave and the Elliot mine.

Depending on the vehicles and time we may go into Valley of the Moon.

After that we will proceeds to the Border Trail which parallels the order before returning to Old Hwy 80 to air up and head home.
